In his lecture, Professor Mojtahedi Shabestari discussed three words: life, news, and absence. According to him, these three words are organically linked to each other in the Masnavi.
At the beginning Dr. Mojtahedi Shabestari talked about Attar. He started with an introduction about Attar and his points of view on the meaning of life; for that Attar is a mystic, who had discussed the word “life” before Rumi and lots of other mystics.

He also discussed absence and truth about absence, narration and truth of narration. Dr. Mojtahedi Shabestari validated his argument with examples from the Masnavi.
According to him, the issue of life is a fundamental concern in Rumi’s poems.
