In the fourth issue of Negah-e Aftab quarterly we read:
- In the “Wisdom” (Hekmat) section Mehdi Kompani Zare, Hossein Mahmoudi, Abdolhamid Ziaei, Mahmoud Reza Esfandiar and Matin Ezzatin, a Macedonian mystic researcher, have discussed the concept of Rumi and Love.
- The “Performance” section in this issue is dedicated to the personality, thoughts and works of Anne-Marie Schimmel. A glimpse of Schimmel’s work on Rumi is caught in the writings of Mohammad Jafar Yahaghi, Seyed Saeed Firouz Abadi, Bahaeddin Khorramshahi, Hossein Khandagh Abadi, Habib Bashirpour, Ali Reza Hashemi Nejad, Hossein Razavi Fard and Peyman Talebi.
- In the “Research” section, Ghasem Kakaie, Mahnaz Ghanei, Vahid Sohrabifar and Seyed Majid Sadatkiaie respond to the questions about the relations between morality and love.
- The “Arts” section includes an interview with Behrouz Gharibpour, the designer and director of “Rumi’s Puppet Opera” and Ashofte’s post-structuralist critique of puppet opera.
- In a roundtable discussion attended by Hassan Mohaddesi Gilvaei, Mohammad Reza Sargolzaei and Ardeshir Mansouri the subject of love from the perspective of traditional mysticism and modern anthropology has been discussed. Furthermore, this section includes an interview with Forough Jahanbakhsh, an assistant professor at the University of Queens and the articles written by Mohieddin Ghanbari, Shahram Sahraei, Arash Heydari and Ehsan Ebrahimi.
- The “Neigbor” section contains an overview of Rumi’s presence in the social, cultural and academic environment of Germany and includes articles by Ali Ashraf Sadeghi, Ali Abollahi, Reza Najafi, as well as interviews with Ali Rajaei and Stefan Weidner, a German translator and researcher.
- In the “Lived Experiences” section, Maghsoud Farasatkhah, Siamak Mokhtari, Farzaneh Okhovatt, Seyed Hasan Akhlagh and Arastou Mirani have narrated their encounters with the lifeworld of Rumi.
- “The mystical path of love from the perspective of Ibn Arabi and Rumi” by William Chittick and “An Easy and yet Difficult Question about Religion and Spirituality” by Farhad Shafti are among the articles of this issue.
- In the “Shelf” section Mohsen Azmoudeh had interviewed Nasrollah Pourjavadi about the book “The Sea of Knowledge” (in Farsi “Darya-e Marefat”). Furthermore, Shahrokh Raie, Milad Hosseini and Sadegh Vafaei have written reviews of the books “Sufisim: A New History of Islamic Mysticism”, “The Hungry King” (in Farsi “Malek Gorosneh”) and “The Strength of Heart and the Joy of Life” (in farsi “Ghovvat-e Ghalb va Noush-e Jan”).
- In the “Account” section the most important news and events in Mysticism and Rumi Studies are provided.
